Spring weather in the Sierra Nevada mountains is often defined by cold mornings and warm, sunny afternoons, creating a unique backdrop for outdoor activities. The last weekend of May at Bass Lake was no exception, as swimmers had to overcome cool temps for their morning start. As the sun rose higher in the sky, the temperatures rapidly climbed, allowing participants to bike and run in warm, dry weather that was quite a contrast from their morning experience. Hot or cold, everyone was in good spirits throughout the day as they competed in and around Bass Lake.
