On Friday I covered the All Ages and Distances Gravel Race, which began on the track at the Laguna Seca Raceway. After shooting each wave head out from this iconic starting line, I hopped on my e-bike to catch the majority of the riders on the final climb back towards the venue. I spent most of the day shooting this scenic climb with its wide open views, where the natural beauty of the landscape provided a stunning backdrop to the competition. At this location, riders had some extra motivation from a traditional Japanese drum band, whose energetic rhythms inspired participants to push their limits as they raced towards the finish.
