Location: Laguna Seca International Speedway. Monterrey, California.

On Friday I covered the All Ages and Distances Gravel Race, which began on the track at the Laguna Seca Raceway. After shooting each wave head out from the iconic race track starting line, I hopped on my e-bike to catch the majority of the riders on the final climb back towards the venue where I spent most of the day shooting this scenic climb with its wide open views, where the natural beauty of the landscape provided a stunning backdrop to the competition.

At this location riders had some extra motivation from a traditional Japanese drum band, whose rhythms inspired participants to push their limits as they made this demanding climb before heading across the finish.
